myPCStream works with any operating system , including Microsoft Windows, Apple MAC OS X, and Linux, to extend all of the multimedia hardware and software processing power of a standard personal computer to a broad range of consumer devices.

myPCStream can be embedded into any device , including PDAs, cell phones, hand held media players, Digital Media Receivers (DMRs), Set Top Boxes (STBs), HDTVs, Home Theater Systems, DVD players/recorders, digital cameras, wireless displays, touch screen remotes, and more – without requiring the installation of any additional software or hardware, such as emulators, compilers, hard disks, operating systems, or language interpreters.

The myPCStream software includes two main components:

The skyTuneZ Server (this is powered by myPCStream) resides on an enterprise server or desktop PC and performs real-time screen captures of the host’s audio and video buffer. The screen captures are converted to any desired CODEC, and instantly streamed over any network, to any selected device.

The skyTuneZ Client (this is powered by myPCStream), which sits at the receiving end on the mobile or client device, instantly plays back streams received from the myPCStream Server. Users can easily communicate with the host PC using any remote control, active display, keyboard, or cell phone handset.

myPCStream is also designed to support the most recent industry standards, including the Digital Living Network Association (DLNA), supporting interoperability with any third-party DLNA media server (such as those from Microsoft, Sony, and Phillips), and Digital Transmission Content Protection over Internet Protocol (DTCP-IP), a content protection technology that ensures the secure streaming of content within home networks.
